The new Senso portal, has significant changes to the older Senso portal. Including the safeguarding and logging portal.
When a safeguarding risk is detected, all members of the pastoral and safeguarding team should be informed and receive an email, similar to the email below:
Click on the button in this email and it will take you to the ‘ticket’.
There is a translation for the word by clicking on the grey information button next to the word.
Top left of this screen, we are the toggle bar for resolved and unresolved. Underneath the status of the ’ticket’ and next to this, the double arrow button are to change the status. When the ticket is set to unresolved you see these options:

On the upper right side of the screen is a paperclip icon, this is used to copy the link to this ticket to another member of the Safeguarding team. This only works for someone with access to the logging dashboard on the new Senso portal.
Next is the red information button, click on this to escalate the ticket to the available staff members. If more need to be added then speak to your Senso admin team (usually IT support). Please make sure you use this feature to properly leave a trail for further evidence.
Next to this, is the 3 dots, currently this only contains history. Click this to see a history of all the work completed on the ticket. See below for example:
Finally underneath this, notes, and the “Mark as hidden”/ “Mark as visible” button, this hides the screenshot, and adds a warning for graphic content, to warn other users from viewing the screenshot. This does NOT hide the ticket.
Once you are done reviewing the ticket. Click the X in the top right corner.
You will be greeted with the new logging menu. This can also be accessed through the New Senso Portal by clicking on this button. Make sure you change the site, which is a drop-down in the top right of the screen, otherwise you will be viewing all logs for all sites.
In the top right, there is an option for keystroke and website logs, analytics and reports.
In the centre of the screen ( if you have either keystroke or website logs showing) you will see a list of all the logs for the date and time set at the top of the screen. To change click on the date and time field.
Clicking on the arrows on the right, next to the screenshots will expand the log, if for example, you need to skim through a few of the lower priority tickets quickly.
Clicking the arrow expands the log to show the below.
If you need to click on a ticket to view more info, then ‘collapse’ the view by clicking on the arrow again. And then click anywhere on the ticket’s date and time (not the screenshot)
At the bottom of this window you will now see the options for Previous and Next, this allows you to go through the tickets one-by-one.
That is the whole of the system. Far more usable than the previous (personally speaking). If there are any issues, as some of the features in this new Senso portal are still in Beta, they may be able to make additional changes, within reason. But if you have any suggestions or questions, please contact your IT support team.
