When connecting your Mac laptop computer to the SMART Board interactive whiteboard, the computer interprets the interactive whiteboard as a mouse and disables the trackpad. If your System Preferences are set to ignore the trackpad when the mouse is present, the trackpad will not respond when connected to the interactive whiteboard.
- Browse to Macintosh HD > Application > System Preferences.
- Press Accessibility.
- Select Mouse & Trackpad.
- Clear the Ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present check box
